RFID CHIP
TRACEABILITY
An innovation which revolutionises the traceability of PPE. To ensure fail-safe traceability of your PPE, in case of loan, hire, or disposing of ropes or harnesses, BEAL has different microchips for insertion into your products. By means of an RFID chip reader and "BEAL Software", the management, control and tracing of PPE is greatly eased. The Beal Software is also compatible with EAN 128 codes and Datamatrix.

BEAL has double ropes in bicolour version with a change in colour in the middle of the rope for use when abseiling.		  
BLACK LIMIT
BLACK LIMIT
To see the middle of the rope with ease. BEAL gives he option Black Limit on every single rope in its range. It consists of an indelible black mark at the middle point of the rope. It is made of a special ink designed to have no effect on nylon.		  

GOLDEN DRY

GOLDEN DRY
In addition to the performance of DRY COVER, BEAL also enhances the durability of the core by another exclusive procedure. Every filament in the strands of the core is coated with a fluoride solution by a continuous process, which is then heat-set and polymerised onto the polyamide. Protecting the rope from water absorption eliminates weight increase, risk of freezing on cold weather climbs, and slows the wearing of the rope considerably.

SAFE CONTROL
To prevent accidents due to mis-judging the mid-point. Even experienced climbers can be caught out by a rope that is too short on the lower.

THE SAFE CONTROL gives a clear visual sign of the amount of rope that must be kept in hand for the descent. This procedure consists of changing the design in mid-sheath, without cutting any yarns, to give much increased dependability.

All climbers know that ropes are not used, or wear, in the same way along their entire length. To take this into account, BEAL has invented an exclusive internationally patented concept: the PROGRAM SYSTEM. By computer control, the tension of the sheath is varied along the length of the rope.

Result: A rope with variable flexibility which gives double the life in sport-climbing use.
A weave with a purpose for each part of the rope and its use. 		• The two ends
Supple weave for the first 1,5 metres for ease of tieing in.

• The following four metres
A stiffer weave to give better resistance to abrasion and general wear on the part of the rope which sustains the majority of work and rubbing.

• The middle part of the rope:
Supple weave for optimum handleability.

Sewn terminations
Certain security ropes are available with one or two sewn terminations. (Petzl patent) This sewing is stronger and less bulky than a fig-8 knot.
